20:00 Eintracht Frankfurt - Mainz
Pick: 2 Odd: 2.80
FT: 2:2 Lose
Hosts are sitting on 12th position with five points out of their first four matches. They won just one out of their last nine matches, earned just two points in their last three matches in the league and scored only once in their last three matches at home. Another problems for new coach T. Schaaf 'cause C. Djakpa will be out with injury while playmaker S. Medojevic will be suspended. On the other hand Anderson and Madlung will be back in squad for tomorrows fight.
Mainz was eliminated in DFB-Cup and in Euroleague-Qualification, but after that they didn't lose a match anymore. They are still unbeaten in their first four matches and are sitting just behind Leader SC Paderborn. They won their last two matches scoring five and conceded only once. With S. Okazaki (4 goals), they have the best striker from league at the moment and with only three conceded goals one of the best defensive lines. They could beat even Borussia Dortmund in last round at home with 2-0. Still out are N. Noveski, P. Wollscheid, J.-H. Park and J.-C. Koo. N. Bungert is still doubtful.
I can't understand these odds to be honest. Yes Frankfurt won three of their last four homematches against Mainz and Mainz didn't score in their last four of six visits at Commerzbank-Arena, but I can't see that as reason at all. It's derby time and Mainz will have a support of more than 1.700 fans. They are in better form and I can't see them losing tomorrow. Coach K. Hjulmand said, that he will make some changes 'cause of the quantity of matches in a short period!
